Refund Policy

1. General Policy

The Forensic Experts Association operates a membership-based model. All membership fees are generally non-refundable once payment has been successfully processed and a membership record has been created. This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and applicable RBI guidelines for online payments.

2. Eligibility for Refund

A refund may be considered in the following specific circumstances:

• Double Payment: If a technical error results in your account being charged twice for the same membership. We will issue a full refund of the duplicate charge within 7 working days.
• Payment Deducted but Membership Not Activated: If your bank account was debited but your membership was not activated within 48 hours, please contact us within 7 days. We will either activate your membership or issue a full refund.
• Event Cancellation by Association: If you have paid an event registration fee and the Association cancels the event without rescheduling, you will receive a full refund of the event fee within 7 working days.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

• Change of mind after membership activation.
• Failure to use membership benefits within the validity period.
• Suspension or termination of membership due to violation of the Code of Conduct.
• Non-attendance at events for personal reasons.
• Requests made after 7 days of the original payment (except in cases of Association-cancelled events).

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email membership@forensicexpertsassociation.in with:

• Your full name and registered email address
• Order ID / Transaction reference number
• Reason for refund request
• Supporting documentation if applicable

We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and resolve it within 7–14 working days.

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment source (bank account, UPI, or card) within 5–7 working days after approval. Cashfree Payment Gateway timelines apply. The Association is not responsible for delays by the payment processor or your bank.
